Creating art has always been my first love but
I doubted if it would pay the bills so I spent
most of my working life as a research scientist
and industrialist, travelling the world for work
and enjoyment.
After a career in materials research and manufacturing, capturing the moment with photography shifted to sketching and then painting from life, indoors and en plein air.
I am mostly self-taught but have taken specialist courses in the UK and USA to improve my skills.
“I look at my work and can totally recall the location, weather, conversations, bird song…the complete memory. I find it thrilling to be able to capture the moment and share it with others.”
