I had no formal training in fine art but I
have always been a keen amateur painter.
I worked professionally as a specialist decorator
for many years using paint finishes and glazes,
then on to murals. My projects were varied and many took
me to Spain, Scilly-Isles and other fascinating destinations.

The West Wycombe Art Group was started around 1983 of which I was a founder member. As the group developed we took an exhibition to Kelkiem (Frankfurt, Germany) as part of our town twinning and Wycombe Arts Festival in the early 90s.

I enjoy portraiture using all media but was particularly inspired by the 3D work of Patrick Hughes.

Since retirement and recovery from some major health problems I have more time, and therefore am able to pursue my interest in 3D work, but will never lose my fascination with portraiture and figure painting. I look forward to many more years of painting and continuing exhibiting with my club and other venues.
