I’ve been a painter and illustrator all my life. After leaving Harrow
Art School I joined a London studio and worked on magazine story illustration
whilst I developed my fine art skills.
Since then I’ve my painted almost every subject in watercolour, pastel, oil and acrylic and had success in exhibiting in local, London and other UK galleries and exhibitions.
I exhibit with locally with the Bucks Art Society, the Bucks Visual Arts and of course the group at West Wycombe where I paint with friends.
More recently my figurative work has become predominant to the point where I believe that it is my total love and specialty, sketching people in all environments and exploring ways to include them in my next work.
I now tutor portraiture at West Wycombe and by invitation for other local groups. In June 2007 I started a drop-in class for portrait, figure and life which has gone from strength to strength. I’m also adding the local college adult education on figure and portraiture.
I enjoy tutoring almost as much as producing the work myself. It’s so satisfying watching others paint and learn.
