My inspiration comes from how I review and interpret the countryside in terms of colour, texture and rhythms. As a local artist I am inspired by both the local Chiltern landscape and more recently by the Dorset landscape which I also love. Various overseas holiday destinations have also provided me with new ideas for future work.
I enjoy using and experimenting with watercolours, acrylics, pastels and pen and ink and using collage and mixed media.
At present I am working to develop a better understanding of acrylics by using their vibrant colours together with enhanced effects of various mixed media
