Keith Wilkins

Having arrived just before WW2, Keith's early years were spent in the exciting world of West London.
Presented with a limitless resource of damaged wood, rusty metal, swappable shrapnel and old wallpaper, it seemed a good place to start a career in design.
All children accept the world as they find it and get on with the real job of playing games, making things and growing up.
The idea of having a deprived childhood has never occurred.

Now his interests are strangely similar. Using recycled materials and elements he is attempting to create a different sort of order. Perhaps this is a response to our profligacy or a penance for a long and successful career in industrial design?

Born Hayes Middx 1938
Studied at High Wycombe Technical School, Junior Art Dept 1951-1955 to a level GSE
Degree level studies at High Wycombe College of Further Education 1955-1959 to NDD in Furniture Design and Interior Design.
