Welcome

West Wycombe Art Group

In 1982 a small group of friends met in the back room of the George and Dragon pub in West Wycombe to paint. The group became the West Wycombe Art Group and in time outgrew the back room and moved to the more spacious Village Hall.

The Group has a restricted number of 25 artists and is recognised as one of the most professional art groups in the area. Styles vary and encompass the whole range of media including watercolour, oils, acrylics, and pastels. Many of our members exhibit at Bucks Open Studio, with several regularly exhibiting at prestigious art events across the county and at London art galleries.

The highlight of the year is the Group’s annual exhibition held during the August Bank holiday at the West Wycombe Village Hall. This popular event attracts many visitors, some of whom return year after year to enjoy and purchase the Group’s work. There is no entrance fee, and visitors are free to walk around and enjoy the exhibition in their own time. Two or three of the Club’s artists are always present to answer any questions about the exhibits.

The West Wycombe Art Group welcomes new members. Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to register interest early as the restricted Group size can result in a waiting list. To find out more about joining the West Wycombe Art Group contact Alix Addison at wwag.secretary@hotmail.com or visit the annual exhibition and speak to one the Group’s artists.
