Throughout my childhood I loved to draw and although I went on and did an Art Foundation course at Wycombe College, followed by an Honours Degree in Fashion and Textiles at Leicester Polytechnic, my love of drawing took a back seat for many years.

Finally, five years ago I decided to take the plunge and joined an adult learning class. This gave me the incentive I needed to start drawing again and the classes also allowed me to use different techniques and media. From the classes I discovered that I enjoy using pastels in particular for animals but I also love using watercolour for animals and flora.
